POETRY
When we start to dive deeper into ourselves we begin to unravel all kinds of creative gifts, we didn’t even know existed within us. For Amira it has been a magical feeling of having words flow through her in states of blissful joy. In the Unofficial Master’s Thesis she takes you on her very personal journey from darkness to light. Here are two poems as a sample:
The Sparrow
If a little sparrow would think
that it wasn’t much use to the world because it’s so little,
sparrows would have surely gone extinct.
Yet if you observe these tiny creatures
they are flying around busily taking the little tasks given to them
as seriously as a pharmacist
to come up with a curing medicine.
Never underestimate how your seemingly little good deeds
make the world a better place,
And never get too comfortable
to do them because they matter!
The Mirror
To polish the mirror of the heart
it may appear beneficial
to use some kind of detergent.
But if you only spray it onto the mirror
and then walk away,
You will leave the mirror
even dirtier than before.
Therefore don’t take the detergent into your hand
and start spraying all over the mirror
if you are not ready
to do the polishing right after.
You may also want to check
how clean the cloth is
that you are using
because if it’s dirty
you will smear the mirror so much
the reflection of his great attributes will veil itself again
and who knows when and if
the veil of ignorance
will be lifted again for you.
